Over the last several years, the complete denture technique continues to receive less emphasis in North American undergraduate dental school curriculums. Consequently, in the general dental community, it is fast becoming a lost art form. Considering it is the gateway to dental implant therapy and a key to grasping concepts and principles in aesthetic dentistry, the purpose of this presentation is to improve understanding of complete denture therapy based on proven clinical and documented protocols.
Upon completion of this CE webinar, the student will be able to: understand impression techniques maximizing support and minimizing over-extended, unstable denture bases; describe effective Maxillomandibular jaw relation record techniques; develop an improved understanding of aesthetic and functional tooth arrangement concepts.
